We are sharing important transportation information as we prepare for the first day of school on Monday, August 19.  
 
Bus Routes 
Students must live more than 1 ½ miles from the school to be eligible to ride a bus.  The 1 ½ mile boundary is listed in the Busable Street Dividers document. 
 
Central and West bus routes are posted on the Transportation Website.  Freshmen should follow the “Freshmen FIRST P/U” time, and upper-class students should follow the “Upper Class FIRST P/U” time.  We continue to adjust routes so families should visit the Transportation Website regularly to view the most up-to-date routes. 
 
Activity Bus Routes & Schedule 
Activity buses are operated for Joliet Township High School students only. Students must be enrolled in a school-sponsored program or be a participant/spectator at a school-sponsored activity to ride the activity bus.  Students more than 1.5 miles from school will be dropped within three blocks of their home. Students who reside within 1.5 miles of the school will be dropped off within five blocks of their home.  The activity bus routes are posted on the Transportation Website and the schedule is below:

Transportation Delays  
Families may experience transportation delays if their student is a bus rider due to a shortage of bus drivers and transportation staff, particularly at the beginning of the school year. We encourage families to provide transportation for their students if possible. Student drivers and car riders should plan ahead and arrive to campus early due to the increase in traffic from students being dropped off. Students who arrive late to class due to JTHS transportation delays are not marked tardy.
