Athletics

Dear Tigers Fans,

Welcome to Joliet West Athletics! Joliet West is proud of the accomplishments of our student-athletes, both on and off the field. Athletically, the Tigers compete in the Southwest Prairie Conference. Inside our conference, Sportsmanship is very important. We ask that spectators and players make behavior their top priority at all athletic contests. We will continue to have security at our games to ensure a safe and positive environment for our school community.

The foundation of our athletic department is our TIGER PRIDE Core Values.

Monday-Toughness
Tuesday-Integrity
Wednesday-Greatness
Thursday-Energy
Friday-Responsibility
Weekend-PRIDE

Our core values are the umbrella in which our athletic department operates. Within our TIGER PRIDE core values, our philosophy is that students can balance the pursuit of athletic and academic excellence simultaneously. Our athletic staff is committed to providing everything needed to reach the athletes' potential athletically, while excelling inside the classroom. Joliet West is comprised of coaches that are professional, passionate, and hard-working. Each coach encourages their athletes to succeed in all aspects of life. The athletic staff promotes character education with the athlete awareness program for all in-season athletes. The Joliet West athletic department also has a captain's club that includes selected varsity athletes. The captains club meets three times per season to provide a forum to exchange ideas, communicate concerns, and  learn strategies to improve leadership skills.

We hope that your experience is enjoyable anytime you enter our facilities. We will continue to improve in all aspects of our department. Please take some time to get familiar with our website. If you need anything, do not hesitate to call, email, or stop by Joliet West. My door is always open.

We invite you to join us in cheering for the Tigers!

What the JT Boosters are responsible for:

We support all teams, coaches and sports facilities at both Joliet Central and Joliet West through our fundraising and volunteer efforts.  The financial support through our fundraising helps supplement the athletic budgets to provide the best experience for our student-athletes.  Funds are raised through the Athletic Booster Club membership, spirit wear sales, athletic event concession sales and other events.  The Athletic Booster club also provides $500 scholarships to 1 male athlete and 1 female athlete and both campuses.
