The Last Week of School
Yesterday was the last student attendance day for seniors and next Thursday, May 27 is the last day for freshmen, sophomores, and juniors.  Now is the time to turn in missing assignments and end the year with success. Don’t wait until it is too late!

Technology Info for Returning Students
Computers: If you will attend a JTHS school next year, do not return your computer at the end of the school year.  Please use your device for summer programs/classes.  We will provide directions for exchanging or updating your device at a later date.
CTE Students: Copy all CTE files that you want to keep from the shared server to another storage solution such as your JTHS OneDrive or Google Drive.
Password Assistance: Follow these steps to prevent password issues over the summer and at the start of next school year.  Call the technology helpdesk at (815) 727-6860 if you have any questions.

Summer Reading
This summer we ask students to read any book or publication of their choice and to document the number of pages they read throughout the summer using the Joliet Public Library Individual Readers Log (which is available online and can be printed). While students can read any book or publication of their choice, sometimes students need help finding interesting books to read; our teachers and librarians have compiled a list of “2021 Highly Recommended Reads.”  The books on this list will be available for students to check out at the media center at Joliet Central and Joliet West as well as at both branches of the Joliet Public library (no library card is necessary). For more information visit: bit.ly/3hGdwbA

Summer STEAM Camp
An innovative Summer STEAM Camp, offered by After the Peanut, allows children to engage in forward thinking STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) experiences. As an added bonus, this program is on the campus of Lewis University! Choose from 10 unique STEAM weekly topics such as the Science Behind Sports Game Development, Design Forensics, Medicine Movie Makeup, Costume Design and more.  Each week offers hands-on, real world, active STEAM activities for ages 9-17 years old.  Registration is open at afterthepeanut.com/camp

Summer School Recovery
The Summer Recovery Program begins on June 7 and is currently FULL. Those with confirmed registration will receive information next week. Please DO NOT come on June 7 unless you received notification from the school. There is currently a wait list, and we will contact you after the first week of summer school if a spot becomes available.  If you have questions, please contact Mr. Steve Seper at sseper@jths.org for Central Campus and Mr. Richard Bain at rbain@jths.org for West Campus.
