JTHS Mission Statement
The mission of Joliet Township High School, a historically rich, inclusive, and innovative learning community that values and embraces diversity, is to maximize every student’s potential to positively impact our community and thrive in a global society by providing an equitable, personalized, and rigorous education.
JTHS Commitment to Equity and Inclusion
At JTHS, we are committed to fostering an inclusive and equitable environment for all students. Our entire staff, including teachers, administrators, counselors, and support personnel, recognizes and values individual and group differences, striving to treat all students and groups with equal respect and dignity. We actively promote equitable treatment of all students both in school and in the community through:
- A curriculum that teaches tolerance and empathy
- Regular addressing of nonviolence and social justice issues
- Providing resources and support for students from all backgrounds
This commitment aligns with JTHS's Anti-Racism statement and reflects our core values as an educational institution. We encourage all students to reach out to any staff member, including but not limited to counselors, for additional support when needed. Our doors are always open to students seeking guidance, assistance, or a listening ear. Hate has no home at JTHS. We stand united in our efforts to create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive learning environment for every student in our community.
