Dear Graduate, 

We look forward to celebrating the Class of 2026 graduation festivities.  The in-person graduation ceremonies take place Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. in the Joliet West Field House in groups of 375 students.  Each graduate receives five tickets for family and guests to attend.  All attendees must have a ticket regardless of age.  Graduation tickets are distributed during the Class of 2026 Check-Out on May 22.

Students sign up for a ceremony spot by completing the Google Form below. The link to sign-up is active on April 13, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. Students must use their JTHS emails to sign-up. Please click the link below to sign up. 

Joliet West Graduation Sign Up 

Students will receive confirmation of their ceremony and details regarding arrival time and instructions for line-up and family viewing by the end of the day on Friday, April 17, 2026.  

During these ceremonies, students will receive their diploma cover. Only students who meet all JTHS graduation requirements will officially graduate and receive a diploma after June 8, 2026. Please contact your student’s school counselor if you have questions about their graduation status. 

Session 1	May 23, 2026 – 11:00 am
Session 2	May 23, 2026 – 2:00 pm

Arrival:
Graduates must arrive one (1) hour before the graduation ceremony.  Graduates enter through Door 6 and report to the South Gym for line-up and instructions.   

Guests must arrive no more than 45 minutes prior to the ceremony and will enter the Field House at Door 13.  Guests are expected to sit in family groups on the bleachers.  Chairs are available for handicapped accessible seating.  All guests must be seated 15 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony. The Line of March begins 10 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony. There is no entry during the Line of March.

In-Person Details

Dress:	The graduation ceremony is a formal event and students are encouraged to dress in a way that appropriately reflects the occasion.
Tassel:	The tassel starts on the right side of the mortarboard and is moved to the left side when directed by administration.
Cords:	Only school issued, earned cords may be worn during the ceremony.
Diplomas:	Only the jacket covers to the diplomas will be handed out during the graduation ceremony.  Diplomas will be available for pick-up after June 8, 2026.

Other Important Reminders:
Graduates will proceed into the Field House and are seated in the center of the floor.  Staff will read graduates’ names; graduates walk across the stage and receive the diploma cover.  Professional photos will be taken after receiving the diploma cover, and the graduate will return to their seat on the floor.  

Graduates and staff seated on the floor will exit the Field House first.  Once students have cleared the floor, families can exit doors 14 & 15 and meet the graduate outside the Field House. 

The Class of 2026’s official graduation date is May 23, 2026. This date will appear on diplomas and transcripts.
