The Steelmen and Tiger Welcome Back Events will take place next week on August 4-7 at Joliet Central and West by grade level.  Students and their parents/guardians should attend the Welcome Back Steelmen or Tiger event to pick up class schedules, IDs, bus schedules, purchase PE uniforms, receive important information for the upcoming school year, and more.  Assistance completing the free and reduced lunch application will also be available.  Click on the links below for the schedule and additional information.

Where to Enter the Building
Joliet Central: Enter the building through door “J” on Eastern Avenue. 
Joliet West: Enter the building through Door “14” (Field House Entrance).    

Health Requirements for Freshmen, Seniors & Transfer Students
As a reminder, incoming freshmen and transfer students must submit the completed State of Illinois Certificate of Child Health Examination Form. Incoming seniors require documentation of one dose of meningococcal conjugate vaccine on or after their 16th birthday. Additional information regarding vaccine requirements can be found HERE. Incoming freshmen, seniors, and transfer students who have not already turned in the required state-mandated proof of immunization must do so by the first day of school scheduled for August 19, 2025.

Physical Education (PE) Uniforms
All JTHS students enrolled in PE must wear the school-approved PE shirt and athletic bottoms of their choice. If your student does not have a shirt from a previous school year, you can purchase one for $7 (sizes SM–2XL) or $10 (sizes 3XL and up) at the Welcome Back Events or at Ken Woody Sports, located at 2225 W. Jefferson Street in Joliet.
