Attention JTHS Juniors & Seniors, 

The Will County Clerk’s Office is excited to announce that they are now accepting applications for Student Election Judges for the November 3, 2026 General Election. Please note that students do not attend school on the November 3, 2026 General Election Day.  
This program offers a meaningful and hands-on civic learning experience, giving students the opportunity to actively participate in the democratic process while serving their community.  

Student Election Judges play an essential role on Election Day. They work alongside experienced election judges to help check in voters, distribute ballots, and ensure that the voting process runs smoothly, securely, and fairly. Many students describe this experience as both empowering and eye-opening. During the March 17, 2026 General Primary Election they had over 120 students serve as Student Election Judges!  

Students must meet the following criteria:  

1. Be a U.S. Citizen 

2. Be a Will County Resident 

3. Be a Junior or Senior High School Student 

4. Have at least a 3.0 GPA  

5. Attend a mandatory training in February – dates found on application form 

6. Complete and email the attached Student Election Judge Form no later than September 25 to wcclerkambassadors@willcounty.gov.  

Students will be compensated $220 for serving as a Student Election Judge OR they may request Service Hours (17 hours) instead. Students will also be automatically enrolled in our Student Ambassador Program which runs throughout the school year.
