There is no school on November 27, 28, and 29 due to the Thanksgiving Holiday. We are thankful for our students, staff, and community!

Light up the Holidays Parade and Tree Lighting – Nov. 29
Families and the community are invited to enjoy a full day of holiday fun at the Light Up the Holidays Parade and Tree Lighting on Nov. 29. There is no cost to attend this community event. This year the event features the North Pole Market, horse-drawn carriage rides, a parade, tree lighting celebration, and a spectacular fireworks show! Early Release School Improvement Day – Dec. 5
December 5 is School Improvement Day and early release for students. Students will follow the “A” Schedule. Central, West, and Pathway students are dismissed from school at 11:45 a.m. AVAC students are dismissed at 11:30 a.m., and Transition Center students are dismissed at 10:45 a.m. Click on the links below to view the attendance calendar.

West Choirs Songs of the Season – Dec. 5
The Joliet West Choirs invite parents, staff, and the community to their annual Songs of the Season Benefit Dinner on December 5 at the Jacob Henry Mansion Ballroom, 15 S. Richards Street in Joliet. The event begins with raffles and a cash bar from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. immediately followed by dinner. Guests will enjoy a wonderful evening of fine dining, an assortment of raffles, and beautiful music performed by the Joliet West Choir.  Tickets are $45 per person with proceeds benefiting the Joliet West Choir.  Reservations and payment are due by November 26.  Click HERE to RSVP and purchase tickets.   

West Winter Band Concert – Dec. 10
The Joliet West Winter Band Concert is on December 10 at 7 p.m. in the West Auditorium.  The Winter Band Concert will feature the Joliet West Concert Band, Symphonic Winds, and Symphonic Band.  The students will perform a blend of new compositions, concert band transcriptions, and a couple of pieces to put audience members in the holiday mood. The Jazz Ensemble will also be playing some holiday favorites before the concert, starting at 6:40 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. We hope to see you for their final performance of the semester.

West Winter Choir Concert – Dec. 12
The Joliet West Choir invites families, students, staff, and the community to their annual Winter Choral Concert on December 12 at 7 p.m. The concert will be held at the Joliet West Auditorium and features music from the Chamber Choir, Concert Choir, Mixed Chorus, Ensemble, and choirs from Troy Middle School. Admission is free. 

Joliet Region Education Community Connectors (JRECC) – Dec. 13   
Members of community and faith-based organizations are invited to attend our next Joliet Region Education Community Connectors (JRECC) Meeting on December 13 at the JTHS Administrative Center.  Breakfast is available at 7:30 a.m. and the meeting will conclude no later than 10 a.m.  Spanish interpretation is available. Attendees will hear an informative presentation from United Way of Will County and the JTHS Catalyst Program. Complete the JRECC Meeting RSVP Form if you plan to attend.     

JTHS Board of Education Meeting – Dec. 17   
The JTHS Board of Education invites families and the community to their next regularly scheduled meeting at 7 p.m. on December 17 at the Administrative Center.  Agendas are posted at least 48 hours before the meeting.  Meetings are live-streamed. Individuals wishing to make public comments must sign up upon arrival before 6:50 p.m.   
 
Semester 1 Final Exam Information 
Semester 1 final exams are December 18-20. The final exam schedule for Joliet Central and Joliet West, in English and Spanish, is HERE
