Parent Teacher Conference Registration Information 
Semester 2 Parent Teacher Conferences take place virtually on Thursday, March 7 from 4 to 7 p.m. and Friday, March 8 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Registration for Parent Teacher Conferences opens on February 16 at 4 p.m. We encourage families to log on to PowerPTC as soon as possible when registration opens to select the times and dates that are the most convenient for them.  Registration closes on March 1 at noon.  To allow time for Parent Teacher Conferences, students are dismissed from school at 1:15 p.m. on March 7 and there are no classes for students on March 8.  We will send a reminder and additional information when registration opens. 
 
Athletic Booster Meeting – Feb. 15
Parents and community members who want to support our athletic programs are invited to attend the next Athletic Boosters Meeting at the JTHS Administrative Center on February 15 at 6 p.m.  The Boosters raise funds to supplement the athletic budgets, provide scholarships, and promote Steelmen and Tiger Pride.  
 
Will County Summer Internship Program – Application Deadline Feb. 16 
The February 16 application deadline is quickly approaching!  There are 41 PAID internships available exclusively to JTHS students during the summer of 2024.  Students can use the direct link to the application to apply.  For more information, view the Internship Announcement.  Don’t miss out on this great opportunity! 
 
Progress Reports Available Feb. 16 at 3:30 PM 
Progress Reports will be available through the Campus Parent and Campus Student portals on February 16 at 3:30 p.m.  If you need assistance using the portal, contact our Central Campus Family Engagement Liaisons or West Campus Family Engagement Liaisons and they can assist in English and Spanish. 

JTHS Board of Education Meeting – Feb. 20  
The next Board of Education meeting is 7 p.m. on February 20 at the Administrative Center.  Agendas are posted at least 48 hours before the meeting.  Meetings are live-streamed. Individuals wishing to make public comments must sign up upon arrival before 6:50 p.m.  
 
Grandparents Raising Children Support Group – Feb. 20  
The group meets on February 20 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the JTHS Administrative Center. All grandparents and individuals raising non-biological children are welcome.  
 
Joliet Region Education Community Connectors Meeting (JRECC) – Feb. 23  
Members of community and faith-based organizations are invited to attend our next Joliet Region Education Community Connectors (JRECC) Meeting on February 23 at the JTHS Administrative Center.  Breakfast is available at 7:30 a.m. and the meeting will conclude no later than 10 a.m.  Spanish interpretation is available. Attendees will hear an informative presentation from VNA Health Care and Childcare Resource and Referral.  Complete the JRECC Meeting RSVP Form if you will attend.   

Early Release SIP Day – Feb. 29 
February 29 is a School Improvement Day and early release for students.  Students will follow the A Schedule.  Central, West, and Pathway students are dismissed from school at 11:45 a.m. AVAC students are dismissed at 11:30 a.m., and Transition Center students are dismissed at 10:45 a.m. Click on the links below to view the attendance calendar.

Joliet West Spring Dance – March 9 
Joliet West’s Spring Dance, “The Black Out,” is Saturday, March 9 from 6 to 9 p.m. in the cafeteria.  Students are encouraged to wear black and their favorite sneakers.  Tickets will be on sale until March 1 in the bookstore.  Date Forms are due February 23.  Tickets are $25 and are non-transferrable or refundable.  All fees must be paid to purchase a ticket.  View the Event Flyer for more information.   
 
JTHS Foundation Trivia Event – March 10 
The JTHS Foundation invites you to its 18th annual Trivia Event on Sunday, March 10 at 176 West Banquets, 1100 NE Frontage Road in Joliet.  Doors open at 2 p.m. with trivia starting at 3 p.m. All proceeds benefit the JTHS Foundation and their mission of providing educational grants and scholarships to students and staff. More information is HERE.  
 
Scholarships for Seniors – Application Deadline March 15 
There is still time to apply for the District Donor and District Committee scholarships that are available exclusively to JTHS seniors.  The application deadline is March 15.
