Free Online Virtual Tutoring Available to JTHS Students
Do Progress Reports indicate that your student needs help raising their grades?  If so, please take advantage of our free online tutoring that is provided by our teachers at convenient times such as nights and weekends. Visit the JTHS Virtual Tutoring Webpage for more information and to sign up. 
 
Tomorrow is the Last Day to catch the Joliet Central Spring Musical "Six The Musical: Teen Edition”
Tomorrow is the last day families, staff, and the community can catch the Joliet Central High School Spring musical performance, “Six: The Musical – Teen Edition.” The performance begins at 7 p.m. at the Joliet Central Auditorium. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door. “Six: The Musical – Teen Edition.” is a musical about the six wives of King Henry VIII, telling their stories in the style of a pop concert. The show celebrates 21st-century girl power by reclaiming the wives' identities. 
 
Class of 2025 Graduation Sign-Up Form Active April 14 at 7 AM
Joliet Central and West conduct graduation ceremonies on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Each graduate will receive five tickets for family and guests to attend. Students will sign up for a ceremony via a Google Form. The link to sign-up will be active on April 14, 2025, at 7:00 a.m. Students must use their JTHS emails to sign up. JTHS Board of Education Meeting – April 15
The JTHS Board of Education invites families and the community to their next regularly scheduled meeting at 7 p.m. on April 15 at the Administrative Center. Agendas are posted at least 48 hours before the meeting. Meetings are live-streamed. Individuals wishing to make public comments must sign up upon arrival before 6:50 p.m. 
 
JJC Pathways to Success Event – April 15
TRIO is hosting a JJC Pathways to Success event for JTHS students in all grades on April 15 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Joliet Central Cafeteria.  Attendees will learn about admission/enrollment, dual credit, scholarships, financial aid, the honors college and more.  View JJC Pathways to Success Announcement for additional details. 
 
Mandatory State Testing – April 16 & 17
Mandatory state testing takes place on April 16 and 17. The school-day schedules and tests vary according to grade level.  View the Mandatory State Testing Announcement for details.  
 
JT Boosters Night of Champions – April 17
The JT Boosters invite parents, staff, alumni, and the community to the 19th Annual Night of Champions on Thursday, April 17 at IBEW 176 Hall, 1100 NE Frontage Road in Joliet. The event begins with social hour at 5 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:15 p.m., awards at 6:45 p.m., and concludes with raffle announcements. Spring Holiday No Classes – April 18
There are no classes on Friday, April 18 due to the Spring Holiday.   
 
Hands of Hope Free Food Giveaway – April 19
A free food giveaway is taking place on Saturday, April 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 511 Oakleaf Court in Joliet.  The line begins on Hammes Avenue.  Event organizers ask that those picking up food do not block other businesses.  View the flyer for additional information. 
 
Career Exploration Fair – April 21

TRIO is hosting a Career Exploration Fair on April 21 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Joliet Central Cafeteria. The event is open to the public and to those who are interested in learning about career opportunities, volunteering or internships. View the TRIO Career Exploration Fair Announcement for details. 

Early Release School Improvement Day – April 24
April 24 is School Improvement Day and early release for students. Students will follow the “B” Schedule. Central, West, and Pathway students are dismissed from school at 11:45 a.m. AVAC students are dismissed at 11:30 a.m., and Transition Center students are dismissed at 10:45 a.m. Click on the links below to view the attendance calendar.

Special Games – April 25
Join us for a fun-filled event that supports and celebrates Special Olympic athletes. This year the event will be held at Joliet Central’s football field. We encourage families and community members to attend and show their support. There is no cost to attend the event. Spectators can park by the football field. The event will begin at 9:30 a.m. and end at 12:30 p.m.  

JRECC Meeting – April 25
Members of community and faith-based organizations are invited to attend our next Joliet Region Education Community Connectors (JRECC) Meeting on April 25 at the JTHS Administrative Center. Breakfast is available at 7:30 a.m. and the meeting will conclude no later than 10 a.m.  Spanish interpretation is available. Attendees will hear an informative presentation from the University of Illinois Extension Nutritional Education Program and a presentation from JTHS leadership on the topic of Student Discipline Procedures, Supports & Interventions. Complete the JRECC Meeting RSVP Form if you will attend. 
 
CEO Trade Show – April 30
Families, students, staff and community are invited to attend the JTHS CEO Trade Show on April 30 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Joliet Junior College’s Main Campus in Building J. The Trade Show will showcase the incredible work of our JTHS CEO Program students who have each developed their own businesses. This is a great opportunity to connect with our young entrepreneurs, explore their creative business ideas, and learn how the CEO Program is helping students grow through real-world, hands-on learning experiences. Annual JTHS Kermes Celebration at Joliet Central – May 1
Students, families, staff, and the community are invited to the annual Kermes celebration on May 1 from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Joliet Central High School Student Center.  View the Kermes Announcement for details.    

Volley4Vets – May 15
Cheer on the Joliet Central Steelmen and Joliet West Tigers boys’ volleyball teams as they face off in the Volley4Vets Showdown on May 15. This crosstown rivalry isn’t just about volleyball—it’s about honoring Will County veterans and raising critical funds for the Disabled Patriot Fund.
