Joliet West High School Spring Musical “The Hello Girls” March 17-19
The Joliet West High School Choir invites the community to their Spring Musical, “The Hello Girls” on March 17 and 18 at 7 p.m. and March 19 at 2 p.m. in the Joliet West High School Auditorium, 401 N. Larkin Avenue in Joliet. Just in time to celebrate Women’s History month, “The Hello Girls” chronicles the story of America’s first women soldiers in this new musical inspired by history. These groundbreaking women served as bilingual switch board operators on the front lines in France, helping turn the tide of World War 1. Jeremy Fears, Jr. McDonalds All-American Sendoff March 19
A sendoff for Joliet West basketball player Jeremy Fears, Jr. will take place on Sunday, March 19 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Salvation Army, 300 3rd Ave. in Joliet. Community, parents, staff and students are welcome! Organized by the non-profit organization, “Guiding a New Generation,” the sendoff celebrates Jeremy’s selection as a player in the McDonalds All-American Game, one of the most prestigious high school basketball events in the country that has been played consecutively since 1977. District Donor & Committee Scholarship Deadline March 24
March 24 is the deadline to apply for District Donor and District Committee Scholarships. We don’t want our seniors to miss out on the opportunity to receive these scholarships that are generously donated by alumni and community members. District Committee and District Donor scholarships are only available to JTHS students. The odds of receiving these scholarships are very good, but you have to apply! New scholarships are added regularly, so make sure to check the scholarship websites frequently up until the March 24 deadline.

Spring Break is March 27-31. Students return to school on Monday, April 3.
Class of 2023 Senior Contact Information Update Form
Seniors should complete the Class of 2023 Senior Contact Information Update Form to receive class reunion and event information after you graduate. It is important that you provide your personal email address because the school-issued JTHS email is deactivated when you graduate.
Summer Reading – Request Your Free Books!
Research shows that reading during the summer and keeping the mind active prevents the “Summer Slide” learning loss. For this reason, our librarians have created a diverse list of high-interest and high-quality summer reading books that are available to our students for FREE! Complete the Summer Reading Book Request Form by May 12 and your book(s) will be delivered to your English classroom. The form must be completed using the student’s school-issued computer. Discover JJC Dual Credit Information Event – April 1
High school students and parents are invited to attend the Discover JJC Dual Credit Information Event on April 1 from 9 a.m. to noon at the JJC Main Campus. Learn about the opportunities available for students to earn college credit while enrolled in high school. More information and the QR to register is HERE.

JTHS Board of Education Meeting – March 21
The next Board of Education meeting is 7 p.m. on March 21 at the Administrative Center. Agendas are posted at least 48 hours prior to the meeting HERE. Meetings are live streamed HERE. Individuals wishing to make public comments must sign up upon arrival before 6:50 p.m.
