It is hard to believe that we are nearing the end of the semester. We wish our families a safe holiday and happy New Year!  We look forward to welcoming our students back for the first day of second semester on Wednesday, January 8, 2025. 
 
Semester 1 Final Exams – Dec. 18 to 20 
Semester 1 final exams are next week on December 18-20. The final exam schedule for Joliet Central and Joliet West, in English and Spanish, is HERE. If students need help improving their grades, we encourage them to take advantage of our online tutoring.   

JTHS Board of Education Meeting – Dec. 17   
The JTHS Board of Education invites families and the community to their next regularly scheduled meeting at 7 p.m. on December 17 at the Administrative Center. Agendas are posted at least 48 hours before the meeting. Meetings are live-streamed. Individuals wishing to make public comments must sign up upon arrival before 6:50 p.m.  
 
Semester 1 Report Cards Available – Dec. 20 at 5 PM 
Report Cards will be posted to Campus Parent and Campus Student on December 20 at 5 p.m. Instructions for viewing report cards are available in English and Spanish. If you need assistance accessing Report Cards, contact our Central Campus Family Engagement Liaisons or West Campus Family Engagement Liaisons and they can assist in English and Spanish.  
 
Winter Holiday Break Reminder – Dec. 23 to Jan. 7 
Winter break begins on December 23 and goes through January 7. Classes will resume on Wednesday, January 8, 2025.  
 
40 Community Hours Required for Graduation – Sign Up For the MLK Day of Service 
Attention Students: 40 hours of community service are required for graduation. If you are a student who needs community service hours, we encourage you to participate in the MLK Day of Service on Monday, January 20 at Joliet Central High School. There is no school on this day. Volunteer check in and breakfast are from 7:30 to 8:15 a.m., followed by a short Welcoming Ceremony at 8:15 a.m. Volunteer service takes place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and the event concludes with lunch and entertainment from 12 to 2 p.m. Students receive five community service hours for participating. Sign up through the link below by December 19. This is a volunteer opportunity for people of all ages. Your family members and friends can also use the link below to sign up.
