JTHS Remote Learning Week 13 – Superintendent’s Message

Dear Parents and Students,

Today is World Kindness Day and I want to thank our teachers, students, staff, and families for the kindness and compassion that is demonstrated on a daily basis as students continue their learning from home.  Thank you!!

The 3 W’s – COVID Transmission
While news of a developing COVID-19 vaccine gives us hope, in the meantime, our numbers are on the rise, and the Will County Health Department has stated that we are in a period “rapid community transmission.”  I urge you to demonstrate responsibility and kindness by adhering to the three W’s:
Wear Your Mask
Wash Your Hands
Watch Your Distance

We all need to do our part to slow the spread of this virus.

Progress Reports & Virtual Tutoring
The second Progress Reports for first semester are available on the Campus Student and Campus Parent Portals. If Progress Reports show that there is room for improvement, there is free online tutoring provided by JTHS teachers during convenient hours, such as nights and weekends.  The tutor will work with the classroom teacher to obtain missing assignments and/or study materials.
Sign Up for Virtual Tutoring

Virtual Parent Teacher Conferences - November 24
JTHS is holding virtual Parent Teacher Conferences on Tuesday, November 24 from 8 a.m. to 2:55 p.m.  All parents who have an email address on record with our school should have received an email from Power PTC inviting them to activate their account.  Please follow the directions in this email to activate your account and to schedule conferences for your student.

If you did not receive an email or need assistance, please complete THIS FORM and a staff member will contact you as soon as possible.
