Joliet Township High School proudly welcomes community members, families, students, and staff to the official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the brand-new Culinary Arts facility at Joliet West High School on Friday, August 15 at 3:30 p.m.  Guests may park in any available spot and should enter through Door 1 (Main Entrance off Larkin Avenue).

This exciting event celebrates a major milestone in educational innovation at Joliet West. The newly constructed Culinary Arts wing includes two state-of-the-art labs and one culinary classroom. Each lab consists of eight student workstations and a teacher’s station—designed to accommodate up to 32 students per class. The culinary classroom is designed with a “made-for-TV” aesthetic, featuring a professional demonstration kitchen and café-style seating.

These spaces feature premium, residential-grade appliances such as multi-range gas cooktops, ovens, and an espresso machine, all enhanced by advanced audiovisual systems and integrated demonstration cameras. The new addition provides a future focused learning environment for the culinary program.

We hope you’ll join us for this special occasion as we celebrate the launch of a vibrant and inspiring new space for culinary education at Joliet West.
