Families, Students, and Staff,
Joliet Township High School invites parents, guardians, students, faculty, and support staff to serve on the Parent-Teacher Advisory Committee. The Parent-Teacher Advisory Committee is a Board Committee established in accordance with Board of Education Policy 2:150 and was formerly known as the Discipline Committee. The committee reviews such issues as administering medication in the schools, reciprocal reporting between the School District and local law enforcement agencies regarding criminal offenses committed by students, student behavior, disruptive classroom behavior, school bus safety procedures, and the dissemination of student conduct information. The committee may also develop, implement, and monitor procedures for using behavioral interventions in accordance with Board Policy 7:230, Misconduct by Students with Disabilities.
Meetings are held in the Joliet Central Multipurpose Room from 5 to 7 p.m. on the following dates: Sept. 26, Oct. 10, Nov. 7, Nov. 21, Dec. 5 and Dec. 19.
Dinner is provided, and students receive community service hours. Participants should attend all meetings.
