With Care Solace, families, students, and staff gain access to a dedicated Care Companion™ who personally and confidentially helps navigate the mental health care system by calling providers to find the right fit and availability. The Care Companion™ helps families with private insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, and no insurance, and is available 24/7/365 in any language. Care Solace works to identify providers who have available appointments within two weeks of initial contact. Due to the high demand for mental health and substance abuse providers, obtaining an appointment can take months when scheduling appointments independently. With the persistence of Care Solace, the barrier of wait time is removed.
Please note, this service is an optional resource available by choice and is not mandatory to use. Care Solace is a complement, not a replacement, for school staff or community partners. Care Solace is not an emergency response service or mental health services provider. In the event of a life-threatening emergency, please call 9-1-1 or the National Suicide Hotline 1-800-273-8255.
