The Joliet Central High School Band trip to New York City, originally scheduled for March 22-26, 2020, has been postponed.  At the time of this message, many New York institutions, such as Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall, have canceled all events; gatherings of more than 500 people in New York are now restricted, and Broadway is now closed.

The Joliet Central High School band students and Band Parent Association, along with Joliet Township High School District 204, have put in many hours of rehearsal, work and fundraising to represent the state of Illinois in a national invitation to perform at Lincoln Center. We are proud of our students’ recognition and our community’s commitment to our band.

We are currently working with our tour companies to determine options and timeframes for a potential future performance and tour date. We will reach out with new information to all our band families and supporters soon. 

Additionally, our uniform drop-off scheduled for tonight, March 12, and our parent meeting scheduled for Tuesday, March 17, will be postponed until further notice.
