Twenty-six Joliet Township High School faculty members were recognized at the September 21 Board of Education meeting for achieving tenure status. JTHS non-tenured faculty undergo a rigorous multi-year process where they are observed and evaluated continuously. The process allows time to gain teaching experience and allows for participation in educational activities and committees outside of the classroom.
Joliet Township High School faculty receiving tenure are Maisa Abu-Mallouh, Tyler Adams, Jeff Biernacki, Taylor Cochran, Jennifer Cryder, Nicholas Davis, Emily Doemland, Michelle Emerick, Joseph Fekech, Michael Heilman, Caroline Krotiak, William Lech, Kamron Majerus, Erika Martinez, Kerry McCloskey, Audrey Mintari, Chad Mirus, Anna Murray, Jeffrey Peterson, Jonathan Rashid, Erin Reid, Elizabeth Short, Wendy Venegas, Gloria Vivanco, Stenesha Walton, and Kristen Webster.
"At JTHS our teacher evaluation process is extensive," said Dr. Karla Guseman, Superintendent. "We have high expectations for our teachers, which the teachers recognized tonight have met. JTHS is proud that these teachers have chosen to make JTHS their home."
