Joliet West Speech Team earned the title of SPC Tournament Champions on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021. The title is the 6^th consecutive conference win for West’s Speech Team.

Individual Tournament Champions include Braden Brophy, Original Comedy; Jarrin Griggs, Oratorical Declamation; Julianna Byrne, Special Occasion Speaking; Kennedy Dorris, Poetry Reading; Lilia Villaflor, Prose Reading; Savion Long and Xavier Long, Humorous Duet Acting.

Individual Tournament Runners Up include Julianna Byrne and Aniya Davis, Humorous Duet Acting; Karis Posteluk, Humorous Interpretation;

Aniya Davis, Original Comedy; Lilia Villaflor, Original Oratory; and Marlie Potocki, Extemporaneous Speaking.

“I’m especially proud of our team for not only their victory, but for their resilience this season despite the challenges of a virtual competition format. They inspire me every day,” said Kristin Blake, Head Coach.
