Twenty-nine Joliet Central students participated in “National Apprenticeship Week” at the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 150 training facilities located in Wilmington on November 13.

During the field trip, students learned about the opportunities available post high school through Local 150, participated in training simulations and toured the training facility. Students also heard from local representatives and past and current apprentices who explained the importance of the work the operators complete and the career in general.
