Andy Kochel, Joliet Central Class of 2013, serves JTHS as an IT Systems and Data Administrator, combining his love of technology with a commitment to supporting students and staff. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Management of Information Systems from Grace College.​

Andy began working in the district in 2018 as a computer technician, transitioned to a data analyst role in 2023, and recently stepped into his current position overseeing systems and data. In addition to his work in technology, he has coached baseball at both Joliet Central and Joliet West since 2018, investing in student-athletes on and off the field.​

He exemplifies steady growth through dedication and a willingness to take on new challenges within the same organization he once attended as a student. His journey highlights how skills developed in high school can evolve into a meaningful career serving the next generation.​

Advice for Students: “Don’t just coast through life. If you want something in life, you can’t just sit back and wait for it to drop in your lap.  It is up to you to make it happen. Hard work will always pay off.”
