Hello JT Tennis Fans
Our tennis philosophy is that in order to be successful players, the boys must work 100% in practice and be dedicated to the team. Each member of the team is first a student and second a tennis player. We expect consistent attendance, good sportsmanship, and hard work. While our ultimate goal is to win, we can feel like a success if we know we have given our best effort and played a good match.
Our goal is not to turn your young player into a professional, but to give him the tools for success that will make the game more enjoyable. We want to create a competitive team. We want the boys to have solid basic skills, a deep understanding of the strategies, and give their best effort at all times.
Our coaches are committed to the tennis program. The coaches attend coaching clinics and keep up with what other SWSC tennis teams are doing.
Our focus this year will be drills, technique, and strategies to win. We are hoping to send more boys to state this year. .
Parents should encourage their athletes to show dedication and determination in their tennis game! Your support would be greatly appreciated at matches and tournaments. Make sure your athlete is eating healthy and getting plenty of sleep. When not in tennis season, have your athlete take lessons and get out and play the game.
We are excited about this year and are looking forward to a successful and rewarding season!
