CAREER
Career Cruising - Career Cruising is an industry-leading online career guidance and planning system. People of all ages use our tools to find the right career, explore education and training options, and build their own portfolio.
Illinois Department of Employment Security - IDES provides unemployment insurance (UI), employment services and guidance to workers, job seekers, and employers through a statewide network of IDES offices and Illinois workNet centers. The agency combines federally-funded job training programs in Illinois into a "workforce development" system where individuals can find a job or train for a new career.
Occupation Resource Center (O*NET) - The O*NET program is the nation's primary source of occupational information. Central to the project is the O*NET database, containing information on hundreds of standardized and occupation-specific descriptors. The database, which is available to the public at no cost, is continually updated by surveying a broad range of workers from each occupation. Information from this database forms the heart of O*NET OnLine, an interactive application for exploring and searching occupations. The database also provides the basis for our Career Exploration Tools, a set of valuable assessment instruments for workers and students looking to find or change careers.
Education Online Search - Education Online Search is a free college and career education portal, to help you learn about careers and the schools offering education and degrees for the fields you choose
Vocational School Database - RWM provides a database of Private Postsecondary Vocational Schools in all 50 states. It is organized first by state, then by Training Occupation.
Vocational Information Center - Explore vocational and technical careers, check out the skills employers really want, find a trade school, research technical topics and take a look at the current job market.
