Registration
New Student Enrollment
Please call (815) 774-1644 to get information regarding enrollment. Both the student and a legal guardian must attend the registration appointment. Students attending Joliet West must live within the district attendance boundaries with a natural parent or court-appointed legal guardian at the start of the school term.
New students will need:
- Original birth certificate,
- Guardian photo ID,
- Three (3) current proofs of residency,
- Verification of guardianship or custody,
- Illinois State Board of Education student transfer form completed by the previous school, and
- Unofficial transcripts.

Class of 2016 Information
Information regarding upcoming events for the Class of 2016 will be mailed in November. If you do not receive this information and live within the boundaries of Joliet West, please call Pam Dantzler at 815-774-1645.
Explore Testing – Oct 15, 2011
Explore testing will be held on October 15, 2011 for students needing to test (e.g. private school students or students that missed the test at public schools). Students should report to West Campus at 8:00 a.m. and enter by the cafeteria (door 5). Please arrive early and bring two #2 pencils and a calculator. Testing will be concluded by 11:00 a.m.
Honors Testing – December 3 & December 10, 2011
Honors placement testing will take place on December 3rd at Central Campus, and December 10th at West Campus.
Central Campus (December 3rd) - enter through D-door on Herkimer St. West Campus (December 10th) - enter by the cafeteria (door 5). Testing will take place from 8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Please arrive early, and bring two #2 pencils.
All questions related to Honors placement and testing should be directed to Maureen Pulaski at 815-774-1688. Eighth grade teacher recommendations are kept on file in our Freshman Academy Office. Therefore, please contact the high school, not the junior high school, to discuss placement after the above dates.
Class of 2016 Registration – January 7 & 21, 2012
Information regarding registration will be mailed at the end of December. Please save this information with dates and times. Any student reporting to registration without EXPLORE scores must be tested before registration can be completed. EXPLORE test scores will be provided to parents during registration.
- No fees are due at the time of registration. Information regarding school fees is mailed out during the summer in early July.
Pre-Schedules
Pre-schedules for the Class of 2016 will be mailed in late March. Changes to schedules have to be made by April. NO changes will be accepted after this date. In the event your student does not receive a pre-schedule, please call 815-774-1645.
