Joliet Junior College Professional Automotive Service Scholarship –
The Auto Club has established a scholarship for a high school student who will be a full-time student at JJC and majoring in the JJC Automotive Program.  Applicant must have completed 2 semesters of automotive classes at the high school level with a 2.5 or above GPA. A recommendation letter from a high school automotive instructor and a brief essay is required explaining why the student is deserving of a scholarship.  See Mrs. Austin on how to apply.

The Joliet Township Athletic Boosters Scholarship -
Eligible male and female senior students who are athletes should apply.  There are two $250 scholarships at each campus to one male and one female senior athlete.  Rules and applications are available on the District, West, and Central Athletic sites or see your counselor.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR 2013-2014 FAFSA
• DON'T wait until you've filed your federal IRS 1040 for 2012 before you file the FAFSA for 2013-2014
• FILE the 2013-2014 FAFSA as soon as you can, preferably this week--nobody knows at this time what the actual deadline will be--the Illinois Monetary Award Program (MAP) is first come, first served
• USE a close estimate of your 2012 income, or to make it simpler, use last year's figures when you complete the 2013-2014 FAFSA
• ENSURE at least one parent and the student complete the required signatures using their PIN
• ONCE you have filed your 2012 taxes, go back into the FAFSA website and change the data you originally submitted

Eligible students must be a Caucasian female, JTHS District 204 graduate, not qualify for financial aid, have a 3.0 or higher grade point average, and plan to transfer to a four-year college to complete degree requirements to be a certified teacher in grades K-12.

Joliet West Campus Academy Scholarships –
Students are eligible to apply if you are in the academies of Business Management and Information Systems; Health and Medicine; Human Services; or Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.  You must plan to study a career and demonstrate school and community involvement within your academy.  Go to B119 or B222 for an application.

Joliet Junior College –
Students planning to attend Joliet Junior College in the Fall are encouraged to search and apply for scholarships on the STARS online scholarship application program.  Students can apply online at

About the workshops:
Learn about the 2013-2014 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and get professional assistance with the online application process. English/Spanish translators will also be available. Habrá alguien que hable español para asistir y contestar cualquier pregunta.
To file a 2013-2014 FAFSA, please bring copies of the following:
• 2012 federal income tax forms
• Copies of your W-2s
• All other income documentation
An explanation of scholarships available to JJC students will also be provided. Attendees can get answers to their questions and receive assistance with the application process. A JJC student ID number is required to apply for scholarships.

Scholarships are available for both part- and full-time students for new, continuing and transfer students.  Students must meet all criteria for each, individual scholarship.  Apply online with the Scholarship Tracking and Review System at

Joliet Junior College High School Foundation Scholarship –
Students need to apply online, type in the word JJC in the scholarship name search field and find their high school listed. The criteria states that the student must have a 3.25 or above GPA (on a 4.0 scale) and a 21 or greater ACT score. The student’s transcript and a counselor form (attached above and a link on the scholarship website) must be uploaded (attached just like an e-mail) on the student’s online application. It can also be faxed or sent to the address below. Students must attend JJC at least two of the three semesters of the academic year. See your counselor for a Counselor Signature Form.

National Hook-Up Black Women, Inc.:  Joliet Chapter Scholarship –
Eligible male or female students must be attending a two or four year accredited educational institution in the fall of 2012.  In addition the student must have a minimum 2.5 grade point average, community involvement, and leadership skills.  See your counselor for an application.

The Junior League of Kane & DuPage Counties Scholarship –

The Emma Bowen Foundation is actively seeking black male applicants for its paid internship work/study program with national media companies. Any minority student (African American, Hispanic, Asian or Native American) who is a rising high school senior, graduating high school senior or college freshman, has a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.0, is interested in pursuing a career in the media industry, and plans to attend a four-year accredited college or university is eligible to apply to the Emma L.
