I began as a Dean at Joliet West High School in the fall of 2003. This includes working with upper class students, as well as working in the West Campus Freshman Academy. Prior to assuming the position as dean, I taught in the Applied Life Skills Divisions at both West and Central Campuses, where I instructed students in Physical Education, Health and Driver Education.
I believe that a component to success in life is through discipline. Discipline, as taught in school, can only be achieved through a sound system, and it is most effective when: there is a partnership between the school and the student’s home, students understand the rules and consequences for violations, there is consistency of the program’s implementation, and everyone shares in the positive rewards of the program’s success.
