What is the Cell Phones for Soldiers Project?

Students collect old cell phones and ship them to major phone companies who recycle them. The phone companies take the money they make recycling the phones and buy calling cards that they send directly to the troops. The soldiers overseas get to use the calling cards to call their love ones. It is a win for all. You get rid of something you don’t use and troops get to call home.
