Phone Message: Social Media Clown Internet/Social Media Postings

October 4, 2016 06:29 PM

It has come to our attention that rumors are spreading via social media about a clown persona threatening schools.

As with every situation that has the potential to impact school safely, JTHS is your primary source of school information.  At all times, we prioritize the safety of our students and staff.  Please trust that we will report instances that may impact student and staff safety. In turn, we rely on our students, staff and parents to report instances that may compromise school safety.

Due to the social media clown postings, students of all ages should not dress as a clown for Halloween or in any public setting at this time.  This can put your child in danger and fuels this negative social media.  Here is a link to an NBC 5 story about this issue.

As always, thank you for working in partnership to keep your child safe.
