Event Information

When: Sunday, June 1, 2008.
Start Time: 12:00 P.M.
Location: Chicagoland Speedway, 500 Speedway Blvd. Joliet, IL 60433.

Packet Pick-up:

Pre-registered participants may pick up their 5K Race packets on race day. All pre-registered runners are guaranteed a t-shirt and a goodie bag.

Race Day Registration:

Race day registration will take place from 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. at the Speedway.

Cost:

Students ages 10-18 - $15
Adults - $20
All race-day registration - $25

Payments:

Checks are to be made payable to Joliet Township High School/Steelmen 5K.
To pay with a Credit/Debit Card, please register online through Active.com. You can reach it through the Registration page.

Parking:

Free parking is available in the Chicagoland Speedway parking lot.

Race Course:

The Steelmen 5K Race will consist of 2 laps around the Speedway's 1.5-mile track.

Age Groups:

10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29,
30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49,
50-54, 55-59, 60+

Walkers:

Walkers are encouraged to participate as well and will begin walking one lap,
1.5 miles, after the runners begin. The same fees apply, and strollers are
allowed but pets are not.

Speedway Awards:

The Steelmen 5K Race Awards will be presented to the top 3 overall male and female participants as well as top Steelmen perfomers for male and female. The top two age group winners in each category will recieve awards.
