Text Box: Summer Reading Initiative (West Campus Only)

Why read? Over the summer months, a student can drop significantly in reading gains and content achievement (SREB, 2006).  Since reading is the key to success, all students should read at least one book from the list below and be prepared to participate (for prizes) upon returning to school in the fall of 2008.  
All books can be purchased at the local bookstores or checked out at the public library

***Honor and AP Freshman students will receive their reading assignment through the mail.

*******Instructional students will receive assignment for summer reading in the mail.

*****Sophomore, Junior, and Senior AP/Honors English students will be given summer reading assignment through your current English classes or it will be posted on the Literacy or teacher’s web sites!!!!
