Curriculum

A+ CERTIFICATION: SKILLS FOR COMPUTER REPAIR
GRADES 11, 12*
1 CREDIT
2 SEMESTERS
1.0 GRADE WT.

Prerequisites: Successful completion of Computer
Applications 1 & 2 or successful proficiency examination.

Students will apply basic knowledge and skills to analyze, troubleshoot, and repair computers, printers, and other related devices. More and more employers each year are requiring the industry standard A+ Certification for employment in the Information Technology industry. This Information Technology course provides students with the training, certification and the opportunity for work experience necessary to launch highskill careers or pursue post-secondary education.
This course is recommended for students considering careers such as Computer Service Technician (A+), Certified Novell Administrator (CNA), Certified Cisco Network Administrator (CCNA), Certified Novell Engineer (CNE), Internet Technician (NET+), Linus (UNIX) Administrator, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), and Network Service Technician (Network+).

REMARKS: *Grade 10 with approval.
