JTHS ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

We've got plans for the future… …and they include you! Dear Alumnus: There will be no textbooks, no hall passes, no PE classes, no algebra homework, and no tests…but we do want you to “enroll” again at JTHS. We all moved from biology and basketball games, from homeroom and teenage heartbreaks – but our four high school years are always part of us.

So, I am writing to ask you to wake up that teenager inside of you. You don't have to find your old jeans, that poodle skirt, the letter sweater, or your class ring, but try to remember those years that shaped your life on the JT Central, JT East or JT West campuses. Along with this new year of 2004 comes news of an exciting new organization that I am asking you to join…the Joliet Township High Schools Alumni Association!

Going to school is supposed to be a learning experience, but I never imagined the lessons I would learn in the past three and a half years since coming to JTHS: initially as the Centennial Celebration Coordinator and now as Director of Alumni Relations. I have met world-renown grads, and I have met young people who will be the next generation of JT greatness. I've seen the twinkle in the eye of our oldest surviving graduate and I've felt the goose bumps when I heard the JTHS alumni band play the three loyalty songs or the alumni choir sing those stirring words.

The centennial celebration of 2001 was an unforgettable year, from the time capsule burial and the series of decade reunions to the JTHS veterans' graduation ceremony and all the other special events. But there is no end to this celebration. Not really. The 100-year milestone has passed, but the loyalty of the Kingsmen, Steelmen and Tigers is not a part time emotion.

Enroll in the JTHS Alumni Association today and be listed as one of the graduates helping pave the way for the future. You are our most valuable asset and your membership will make the alumni association a vital resource for all alumni, for today's students and for the future generation of students. Thank you.
