Joliet Township High School Alumni Band

JTHS Band Alumni History

Formed in 2000 at the request of the JTHS District Administration in conjunction with the Centennial Celebration, the Alumni Band first performed at Billie Limacher BiCentennial Park on July 19, 2001 to a packed hill.

The concert was so well received by both the audience and the perfomers, the decision was made to continue the group the following summer. In making this decision the need was recognized that the group needed to set some formal guidelines and the JTHS Band Alumni Association was born over the next 12 months.

In July 2002, the group performed a full concert at Joliet's Rialto Square Theater.

Since then the group has striven to support the current JTHS Band organizations both in kind and financially.

Our membership currently has approximately 150 members on the rolls and are continuing to grow.
