Joliet West High School Marching Tigers begin competitive season with 2nd place wins

The Joliet West Marching Tigers began their 2016 season with two outstanding performances in September. On September 10th the band performed at the Stagg Marching Band Jamboree at A.A. Stagg High School in Palos Hills, IL. The band finished 2nd in Class AAA and 2nd overall among 21 competing bands. Drum Majors Elise A’hearn, Dafina Bajrami, and Joe Talarico also took home the award for best drum majors. On September 17th the band performed at the Pontiac High School Indian Showdown in Pontiac, IL. The band once again took 2nd place in class AAA and overall.
“These first two competitions were a great start to our season. The band is learning the show nicely, and the they sound great on the field. We are very excited to continue progressing throughout the season and see how well we can perform.”
