Our goal is to help our students excel in learning English while continuing their development in math, science, and the social sciences. Students will receive services as long as necessary. Once our students are mainstreamed into the general education program, they are very successful in an all English environment.
The mission of the JTHS infant Childcare Center is to engage, support and maintain attendance of young parents during high school completion, strengthen their parenting skills and knowledge of resources, support the healthy development and exploration of young children in a safe environment and be a passionate model of best practices in the early childhood community.
The Joliet Township High School Summer School program begins in June and offers a variety of high school credit courses. Students may enroll in summer school after the start of the second semester. Students should see their guidance couselor to register.
The Summer Bridge Program is an intensive four-week summer reading and math program for incoming freshmen who scored 2-3 points below grade-level on their 8th grade state assessment. Students who participate in the Powering Education Summer Bridge Program will acquire the necessary skills to successfully transition into their College Prep English 1 and Algebra 1 courses during their freshman year at Joliet Township High School.
Students will receive safe instruction in the safe operation of motor vehicles, rules of the road, and the laws of the State relating to motor vehicles. The course meets the legal requirements of the State in preparing students to become safe and efficient users of the highway transportation system.
Joliet Township High School is committed to providing services to students in the district who have individual and unique needs. Special Services programs and services include special education, home/hospital instruction, homeless education and educational services at River Valley Detention Center. These programs and services enable students to acquire the necessary education and skills to become productive and contributing members of the Joliet Community in spite of challenges they may face.
