Prerequisites: Food Fundamentals 1
Students will learn more advanced food preparation skills. Lab experiences will build on Foods 1 preparation techniques. Students will work cooperatively in group lab experiences. This course will emphasize the principles of meal planning, preparation, and service. Nutrition and special diets will be included. Career opportunities in the food service industry will be explored. This is a ProStart course certified by the Illinois Restaurant Association Educational Foundation.
