Students will be introduced to the field of Family and Consumer Sciences through Orientation to F.A.C.S. The emphasis of this course will be in the areas of : exploring resource management, exploring merchandising and design, exploring nutrition and wellness, and exploring human services. This hands-on class will students to prepare healthy foods, develop design projects, plan safe and creative learning activities for children, and experiment in the reality of becoming a more knowledgeable consumer.
REMARKS: Semester 1 is not a prerequisite for Semester 2.
