ENGLISH 4 AP:  Literature and Composition

Prerequisites: English 3 and must meet District honors criteria.

Students will learn to recognize major movement trends and styles in British and world literature through the study of the works of significant writers, with emphasis upon full-length works. The emphasis in composition is upon analytical and persuasive writing. Students are expected to produce one or more research papers. The purpose of this course is to prepare students for the A.P. Literature and Composition Examination; students are expected to sit for the exam in May.
