2012-13 Course Offering Guide
This online book provides an overview of JTHS curriculum and course offerings. You will also find general information such as graduation requirements, grading procedures, and all of the JTHS course descriptions.
Programs of Study
The newest edition to the Course Offering Guide is the Programs of Study. JTHS is currently developing Programs of Study, which will help students and parents select the most appropriate classes in their career interest pathway. This is a template that is used for educational planning. In the Course Offering Guide, the Programs of Study can be found within their corresponding academy. Since this is a work in progress, not all Programs of Study are listed within this guide.
Each Program of Study contains a consistent format. At the top of each page, you will find the name of the career academy, the career pathway, and the specific Program of Study. The required courses and suggested electives are contained within the Program of Study chart. This is an interactive document that contains links that will bring you to specific course descriptions once clicked upon.
We hope that this book will prove useful to you. If you have any questions in regards to your child's education planning, please contact his or her counselor.

Instructions for Downloading Adobe X
To view the course offering guide in its interactive form, you will need to download Adobe X. The link to this free download is contained within the Course Offering Guide Web Page. Once you have clicked on this link, you will arrive at the Adobe Reader Web page. Before you go any further, make sure that you do not have any programs running or open. Now, click on the yellow “Download Now” Button. A grey box will appear prompting you to answer the question: Do you want to run or save this file? You will select "Run." Once you have selected "Run," another grey box will appear which will prompt you to answer the question: Do you want to run this software? Select "Run."
The Adobe Reader Installer Box will appear and you can view the percentage of your download as it installs. Once the download is complete, a grey box will appear which says: Setup needs to restart your system to complete the installation. Do you want to restart now? Select "Yes."
An "End Program" box will appear and your computer will restart.
Installing Next/Previous Button
To efficiently navigate throughout the Course Offering Guide, you will need to install the Next/Previous Button. This will allow you to return to your previously viewed page.
To begin installation, right click on the tool bar then select "More Tools." Scroll down and select "Page Navigation." Check "Previous View" and "Next View." Then select OK.
