Special Education

Joliet Township High School District 204 is committed to providing a Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) in the least restrictive environment for students with disabilities who require an Individualized Education Plan (IEP).  An IEP meeting is scheduled at least annually for each student during which the IEP Team determines the special education and related services the student requires to progress through the general education curriculum. The IEP Team consists of parents/guardians, student, and staff. Core courses which are required for graduation and offered in the general education environment are also offered within the special education environment. The student’s special education program may include general education courses and/or special education courses.  For further information regarding special education course offerings, programs, and related services, contact the District Director of Special Services.
