CLASS OF 1950 - JTHS
62nd Reunion - 2012
The Steelmen of 1950 are in the planning mode for their 62nd reunion. Mark your calendars. The dates have been set for Saturday, July 28, with a dinner at Al's Steak House and a tour of the the Joliet Area Historical Museum's exhibit featuring the 100th anniversary tribute to the JTHS band. On Sunday, July 29, classmates will attend a spectacular performance of the JTHS Alumni Band honoring the 100th anniversary. The concert will be held at 3PM in the JT Central auditorium. The 60th reunion of the Class of 1952 will be held on Saturday, June 16, at Al's Steak House. Cocktails will be served at 4PM followed by dinner at 5 o'clock. Classmates will receive letters. More details will be posted as they become available.

55th Reunion - 2012
Once a Steelman! Always a Steelman! That's the motto of the Steelmen of '57! The reunion committee is making plans for another fun-filled reunion weekend on Saturday, July 28 and Sunday, July 29. The JTHS Alumni Band will perform in concert on Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock in celebration of the 100th anniversay of the JTHS Band! Alumni band members from all over the country will gather on the stage of the JT Central auditorium to make memorable music together and pay tribute to the JTHS band program. The Class of '57 has done a terrific job of finding "missing classmates!" The list has been shortened considerably. 50th Reunion - 2012
Class of 1962 is already in the planning mode! In the year of 2012, classmates will gather to celebrate 50 years since graduation. How time flies!
Here are the dates you will mark on your calendar:
August 24, 25 and 26, 2012 - activities will include a Friday night casual "welcome back" pizza party, a formal sit down dinner on Saturday, and a Sunday brunch at the magnificent Rialto Square Theatre. And that's not all...a tour of the high school will be scheduled as well as a tour of Joliet. More details will be posted here as they become available.

45TH Reunion - 2012
We are in the planning stages for our reunion tentatively planned for Friday, June 22 and Saturday, June 23, 2012. (Sorry no school tour this year). The JTHS Alumni Choir will be performing its annual concert on Thursday evening at the Bicentennial Park Concert on the Hill so if you were a choir member and are interested in singing we will give you contact information at a later date.

CLASS OF 1972 - JT CENTRAL
40th Reunion - 2012
It's been 40 years! The Steelmen of 1972 are making plans for a great two-day 40th reunion celebration. Mark the calendar for the dates of Friday, July 13 and Saturday, July 14.
On Friday, classmates will welcome each other at the sports bar and grill, City of Champions, 2727 W. Jefferson Street, beginning at 5:30PM. There is no cost for this gathering as food may be ordered off the menu and it is a cash bar.
On Saturday evening, the festivities begin at 6pm until ? in the Mansard Room, 301 Moen Avenue, Rockdale. Included in the ticket price per person of $37.50 is a delicious buffet of entrees and desserts, cash bar and music by the DJ Clarence Hervey. Casual attire.
A tour of the Central campus will be held on Saturday morning from 9-11am. You may also want to visit the Joliet Area Historical Museum. A tour of the museum is $6 and it is open from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and from Noon-5pm on Sunday.

The JT Central Steelmen Class of '77 will celebrate their 35th reunion with homecoming activities the weekend of September 28th and 29th.
On Friday evening, the JTHS Alumni Association will host the "Welcome Back Alumni " party at Heroes West. Complimentary appetizers and pizza will be served from 7 until 11 o'clock for just $10.00 per person. Pay at the door. Cash bar.
On Saturday afternoon, the homecoming game - the Steelmen vs. Sandburg will be played at JT Central's football stadium. Varsity game begins at 1PM.

20th Reunion - 2012
TIGAR ALERT! The Class of 1992 will celebrate its 20th reunion of the Tiger homecoming weekend of Friday, September 14, and Saturday, September 15.
Firday evening classmates will welcome each other from 7 to 11 o'clock at The Department, 205 N. Chicago Street. The cost of $27.50 per person will include hearty appetizers and an open bar. Casual dress.
On Saturday afternoon, the Tigers will play their homecoming game against the Bolingbrook Raiders. Varsity game begins at 12:30 at the West's Klootwyk Field. A tour of the West campus is being scheduled prior to the game. The time will be posted here when it becomes available. JTHS ARCHIVES GROUP PRESERVES RICH HISTORY
Dedicated volunteers are preserving the history of the Joliet Township High Schools. Closets located on the third floor of the Central campus house the archives of JTHS, JT Central and JT East. Shelves are filled with piles of photographs (both framed and unframed,) graduation mementos and announcements, school newspapers, spirit items (mugs, pennants, pins, etc.) along with yearbooks, trophies, articles on school events, class rings and original doorknobs, and so much more. JT West memorabilia is housed on the West campus.
Do you have any JTHS related materials in your attic, basement or garage? You can help preserve the past! Anyone who would like to donate memorabilia to the high schools’ archives may contact either archives committee member, Dick Dobbs at (815) 727-5144, or Lynne Lichtenauer, Alumni Relations Director, at (815) 727-6763. The Archives Committee is very happy to receive yearbooks from all campuses and all years as well as graduation programs, athletic programs, etc.
Yearbooks for JT Central, JT East and JT West are always in great demand. Extra copies are sold to very appreciative graduates and the funds from the sales are used to support archives committee projects.
The Archives Committee also offers ideal gifts for students, staff and alumni such as a variety of Steelman jewelry to doorknob paperweights and Steelman statuettes. Contact Annette Dobbs (815/ 727-5144) for a price list of merchandise available.
JTHS history is displayed in the archives section on the third floor of the JT Central campus in front of the auditorium’s balcony doors. You are welcome to come and visit the current display.

• Joliet Area Historical Museum, 204 North Ottawa Street, in downtown Joliet. Museum hours are Mon-Friday 10AM-5PM, Saturday 10AM-5PM, Sunday 12Noon-5PM. (815) 723-5201 Admission: $5.00 for adults
• Abraham Lincoln National Veterans' Cemetery. (Dedicated in 1999 formerly the Joliet Arsenal property.) Grounds open until dusk. Visitor's Center open 9AM-3PM Located at 27034 S. Diagonal Road, Elwood (off Rt. 53, approximately five miles south of Joliet.)
• Silver Cross Field, home of the minor league baseball team, the Joliet Slammers Season runs from May through September. For a current schedule of home games, call the box office at (815) 726-2255.
• Billie Limacher Bicentennial Park located along the waterway on historic Bluff and Jefferson Streets. The park features an open band shell and music “under the stars” for its “Concert on the Hill” series. Concerts are presented every Thursday evening at six o'clock June through September. Admission is free. Lawn seating is on the hill so you may bring a blanket and/or lawn chairs. Hot dogs, popcorn and drinks are available for purchase.
