Change in date for next Parent Club Meeting.  Due to the dress rehearsal for the musical Fame, our next Parent Club meeting is November 8 rather than the date in the planner (Nov. 1).

Is your Student College and career ready?
Talk to counselors on Oct. 17 from 6-8pm about your student’s college readiness.  Learn about the college/apprenticeship admission process, transcript requests and financial aid.  This special parent/family program is for any student who is interested in college, apprenticeships, military or work after high school.

October is College and Career Readiness Month:
   
        Oct. 17:  College and Career Readiness Parent Program 6-8pm in the Auditorium
        Oct. 27:  Career Fair at Central in Field House (Periods 2-8)

Families who drive students to school are reminded to drop off students along Eastern Avenue.  Family pick-up and drop-off is along Eastern Avenue rather than in staff parking lots or near bus zones.   Students can enter school and leave school using the Auditorium entrance.  Following the established traffic routes and patterns for buses and cars can ensure student and staff safety. 

How is your student doing in school?
Progress Reports Available on Home Access Center on September 29, 2011
This year JTHS will not mail progress reports to students’ homes, unless requested.  Progress reports can be viewed online through Home Access Center.  Electronic progress reports ensure that parents and students receive the most current, up-to-date grades.  They also save money in printing and postage. 

The Home Access Center login can be accessed through the school’s Home Page.  To view your student’s progress report click on the “Interim Progress Report” tab, located in the top left side of the Home Access Center welcome screen.

If you have forgotten your Home Access Center Password, click on the password reset located on the Home Access Center login screen.  For Home Access Center help call (815) 774-7800.

Please remember that student grades, attendance, and assignments can be viewed at any time throughout the year.  Frequent visits to Home Access Center will ensure that you are fully informed.
