Girls Golf

Dear Joliet Township Supporters:

I would like to take the time to introduce myself and thank you for all of your support. My name is Brian Koehne, in the fall I will enter my fourth year coaching in the Girls Golf Program and second season as the head coach. In addition to coaching golf, I also teach Special Education and coach Boys Basketball at the Central Campus. I am very excited about the upcoming season and proud of the hard work the girls put in over the past year. Our girls showed a tremendous amount of improvement in dual match wins and in tournament scoring. It is my goal to have this program continually move forward and become more competitive. We understand that to accomplish these goals, we all must work hard in the off-season to improve our game. While working towards these goals we will also stress character, integrity, fundamentals, a team concept and having fun playing golf. The program is open to all girls at both the Central and West Campuses and we are always looking to have more student-athletes come be a part of the team. We have a great group of girls returning from last year's team and are hoping to get a large group entering from the middle schools. We also have established a great staff to help the girls in the summer and throughout the year. Summer camp will begin June 19th, 2012 and will be held at Inwood Golf Course. Summer camp will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays in June and July. The student-athletes will have a couple of weeks off at the end of July and regular practices beginning on August 8th.
