Mr. Soto completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in the area of History from Rowan University located in New Jersey. During these years is when he realized his passion for traveling and learning about other cultures. He was able to study abroad at Portsmouth University in England during his junior year. Since then he has completed his Master of Arts degree in the area of Education at DePaul University and his school counseling certification at Lewis University.
Some of Mr. Soto’s responsibilities in addition to working with his student caseload( Maz-Qui) is sophomore lead counselor, which he focuses primarily on the job shadowing program and Plan test coordinator. This year Mr. Soto became co-advisor to the Brother 2 Brother club on campus, which is a male mentoring program found throughout the South Suburbs. Moreover, he has worked closely with Latino/a initiatives such as Project Success at JJC, Si Se Puede Conference at Lewis University and other Latino projects that focus on college/university recruitment.
