Please read thoroughly!

The scholarship application process involves three steps.  In order to be considered for a scholarship, the first two steps need to be filled out completely and accurately.  Step three includes private scholarships which have separate applications, that are optional.  Save each form to a flash drive or your computer prior to completing each part of the application.  Type out all sections of the application and print out to return to Mrs. Papa or Mr. Russell in the guidance office room 284 by 3:30 PM Friday, March 17, 2017  Students who do not meet the specified deadline will be disqualified.

Central Campus Scholarships will be chosen by the scholarship committee.  All information given by the student will remain confidential and only discussed with the committee members.  Scholarships are awarded on Senior Ivy Awards night May 3, 2017.   Senior award recipients will be invited by the principal to the event.  Please note the 2017 scholarships are subject to change.  The final list will be available by the end of February.

Step One: Student Profile
Fill out each section of the profile completely.  Incomplete sections may disqualify candidates from a scholarship. To find some of the information required on the profile will require you to access and print your transcript and test scores.  To access these go into your HAC account and click on the transcript and test score links on the left margin of the page.  Determination of scholarships is based upon the information provided in each section.

Step Two: Essay

At JTHS, we value the seven character attributes of compassion, confidence, respect, tolerance, responsibility, integrity and perseverance. Select one of these traits and explain its importance, how you, as a Joliet Central student, model this character attribute and how that positively impacts others.

Your composition should be 400-500 words long and typed using Times New Roman size 12 font.
