Jeff Pierson has served on the Board of Education since 2001 and is a Joliet West High School graduate from the Class of 1982. He is currently a financial advisor for Voyager Group and is a retired lieutenant for the Lisle-Woodridge Fire District. Jeff is married to Lisa Rogers Pierson, Joliet West Class of 1976, and has a son, Jack.
Jeff is very involved with the Joliet community and serves as a member of the Joliet Rotary Club. As the Board of Education President, he would like to develop and support policies that assist students to perform consistently in a rigorous academic environment.

Tracy Spesia was appointed to the Board of Education in May 2011. As field experience coordinator and school partnership liaison for the College of Education at the University of St. Francis, her educational background is an asset to the district. Tracy serves on the JTHS District Improvement Team and has participated in several strategic planning cycles.
Tracy is grateful for her own children's experience at JTHS and appreciates the opportunity to forge deeper connections with the entire JT community. Her goals as a JTHS Board of Education member are to be a part of the strong working relationship between the board and the district, to represent the district’s interests locally and at the state level, and to be a liaison from the local community to JTHS.
Tracy has been a resident of the Joliet area since 1998. She is married to David and has five children who have attended, or are attending, Joliet West: Beth (’11), Frank (’12), Meg (’15), Tim (’17), and Tess (’19).

Don was elected to the board in April 2011 and is a lifelong resident of Joliet who graduated from Joliet West in 1978. He has three children: Taylor, Andrew and Allison. All three children are proud JTHS graduates. Don is very involved in the community and is a dedicated supporter of Joliet Township High School athletics. His past volunteer service includes a six year term as president of the Joliet Softball Association; board member for the First Tee of Joliet, St. Pat's Athletic Board; and the coach of youth sports teams for the past 16 years.
As a Board of Education member, Don would like to see every parent involved in their students’ education. He feels that together we can make our schools the best that they can be.

Arlene Albert joined the Board of Education in 1981 as a write-in candidate. She was elected with the highest number of write-in votes of any candidate in the State of Illinois, with the exception of Chicago. Arlene has resided in Joliet since 1969 when her late husband was recruited to serve as Joliet’s first community development director. Her children Jennifer, Christopher and Julie are graduates of Joliet Central High School and successful in their careers. She is the proud grandmother of four.
Arlene is an active member of the Joliet Region Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Council for Working Women. As an advocate for students and our community, she has been awarded the “Outstanding School Board Member” and “Master School Board Member” designations by the Illinois Association of School Boards. In addition, she has also been awarded recognition by local community groups and has been a recipient of the Joliet Area Region of Commerce and Industry “Athena Award,” and the “Rabbi Hershman Community Service Award.”
As a District 204 board member Arlene wants to make JTHS a school of choice for our community through the continued increase of student academic performance, the hiring and retention of highly qualified staff, and the expansion of opportunities for students. She is also committed to maintaining the district’s high financial rating.

R. Dale Evans was elected to the Board of Education in May of 2013. He is a 1976 alumnus of Joliet Central High School and a proud Steelman. R. Dale attended Joliet Junior College and Northern Illinois University. As the Family Self Sufficiency Coordinator for the Housing Authority of Joliet, he has worked in collaboration with the administration and staff of Joliet Township High School for the past 10 years.
R. Dale is an active member of the Joliet Region Interfaith Education Council, a Joliet Township High School coalition of faith-based and community organizations dedicated to addressing issues that face youth and families, while sharing information regarding the opportunities and resources available at the high schools.
As a Board of Education member, R. Dale will work to continue the district’s tradition of excellence that has existed for over 100 years. He is looks forward to sharing a fresh perspective and his experience with community partnerships. R. Dale will work to ensure that all students will have the resources necessary to expand their education.

David Skorupa, Member - firstname.lastname@example.org
David Skorupa was elected to the Board of Education in April of 2015. He is a lifelong resident of Joliet and is a Joliet West High School graduate from the class of 1980. He attended Joliet Junior College and graduated with an Associate in Electronics Technology. David has been employed in the Wireless Telecommunications Phone Industry over the past 30 years and served in various technical, managerial and leadership positions that provided for the Infrastructure Development of Wireless Communication Phone Networks across the Midwest.
David is an active member of St. Paul’s the Apostle and St. Jude Parishes in Joliet and serves as a volunteer Religious Education Instructor at St. Paul’s. He is also a volunteer for the St. John food pantry on the near west side of Joliet.
As a Board of Education Member, David would like to ensure that all students have the necessary resources available that will give them the best opportunity to further their education and compete in the job marketplace while maintaining fiscal financial responsibility to the taxpayer.
