JOB SHADOWING
Job shadowing at Joliet Township High School is a requirement for all students enrolled in English 2 as part of their final exam grade for second semester. Students must complete a minimum of four hours of a job shadowing experience. The experience should be related to their chosen career field and their Career Academy. Students may not job shadow a parent or guardian. Students may not take off a day of school to do their job shadowing experience.
There are three options students may choose from to do their Job Shadowing. First, they may make their own arrangements and complete the job shadowing experience on their own. Second, they may request a contact person from the School and one will be provided to them. Third, they may opt to wait until the third week of April and attend a Job Shadowing Day which is arranged by the School. JTHS only provides transportation for the Job Shadowing Day. Students who choose the first or second option must make their own arrangements for transportation.
