FRESHMAN TEACHER ADVISORY SYSTEM
VISION STATEMENT: The vision of the teacher-student advisory is to build appropriate relationships with students. Realistic and positive relationships can be maintained in a safe environment with an Advisory team of staff, students, and parents focused on a high school pan with post-secondary goals and transition experiences.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF ADVISORS
Advisors will:
become positive role models in the lives of their students
create a positive atmosphere
promote a partnership between teachers, counselors, and parents
assist students in order to help them learn how to monitor their own achievement through grade report discussions
utilize the behavior management system for discussions on positive/negative behavior
assist students with pre-course selection
assist students design of career plans
keep important papers in student’s advisory file folder
