Job Shadowing

Job shadowing at Joliet Township High School is a requirement for all students enrolled in English 2 and is part of their summative evaluation grade for second semester.  Students must complete a minimum of four (4) hours of a job shadowing experience.  The experience should be related to their chosen career field and their Career Academy.  Students may not job shadow a parent or guardian.  Students may not take off a day of school to do their job shadowing experience.

There are three options students may choose from to do their Job Shadowing.

  • Option 1: Students secure their own site and make their own arrangements including transportation

  • Option 2:  Students request a contact person from the school and then make their own arrangements including transportation

  • Option 3:  Students choose to participate in the April Job Shadowing Days.  The school makes the arrangements and provides transportation.
