High School Placement Exam-Explore

ABOUT THE EXAM

Joliet Township High School uses the high school placement exam, Explore, for course placement and as an indicator of college and career readiness.  This includes placement in Honors, as well as, support in literacy and math.  The Explore evaluates comprehension in English, Mathematics, Reading, and Science.  The components of the exam are outlined below:

    • Pre-Algebra
    • Elementary Algebra
    • Geometry

  • Science-28 questions
    • Data Representation
    • Research Summaries
    • Conflicting Viewpoints

 

TIMEFRAME FOR TESTING

Make up placement testing will occur during January 2017 registration at both campuses.
